Music United gatekeeps every service artists and listeners rely on — and that includes your data. We collect only what is necessary to run the service, and we will never sell, broker, or share user-associated data with any third party.

• We will never capture, sell, or share user-associated data. Not now. Not ever.
• We only collect what is strictly required for security — login sessions and Stripe payment processing.
• Artist engagement stats (streams, listeners, reach) are shared only with the artist — never packaged or sold.
• We use essential cookies for login and secure sessions only — no advertising or tracking cookies.
• Our web analytics are cookieless. No persistent identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
• You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

We use only strictly necessary cookies. These are exempt from consent requirements under UK PECR because the platform cannot function without them.

We do not set any advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies. There is no cookie consent banner because none is required.

We use Vercel Analytics. It is cookieless — it sets no cookies and stores no persistent identifiers in your browser.

Vercel Analytics uses IP hashing to estimate unique visitor counts. Your raw IP address is never stored or logged.

This data is used solely to help artists understand where their audience is engaging with their music, and to keep the platform fast and reliable. It is never sold or shared with advertisers.

When you create an account we collect your email address and the display name you choose. This is stored securely in our database (Supabase, EU region) and used only to authenticate you and display your profile to other members.

Artists additionally upload media files (audio tracks, images). These are stored in Backblaze B2 object storage (EU Central region) and are only accessible via time-limited signed URLs generated on request.

We do not collect your location, device fingerprint, browsing history outside Music United, or any demographic data.

All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified payment provider. Music United never sees, stores, or handles your card details — they go directly to Stripe.

Stripe may store a customer record linked to your email address for billing history and subscription management. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Stripe's own privacy policy is available at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You can also object to processing or request a portable copy of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@musicunited.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk).
