Pledge
The Gatekeeper's Pledge
We run at cost and take no profit. Every service is gatekept, every transaction is protected, and every penny that can reach the artist, does. Your data is never sold. Your music is never held hostage.
The Ethos
At Cost. No Profit. Music First.
Music United runs at cost and takes no profit. Artists keep what they earn. Listeners pay fair prices. DJs and radio stations get creative freedom. Money goes where it should — to the people who make the music and the services that deliver it.
We feed listeners to artists, artists and patrons fund real-world events, DJs get rewarded with licence-free music, and engagement data flows back so artists see the complete picture. As the community grows, collective buying power brings costs down for everyone.
Your Data Is Not Our Product
We collect only what is necessary to run the service — nothing more. Your data is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to train models or build profiles for third parties. Transparency is how we operate.
Artists & Listeners
The Fair Deal
Music United uses a single, transparent rate — 10p per megabyte— the same unit artists pay to store their music. The price is the size of the file you download. Every penny goes to the artist.
10p/MB
One rate. Every track. Every penny to the artist. Protected.
For Artists
Upload once, sell everywhere. The flat rate does the pricing for you. When a listener chooses higher quality, your revenue grows naturally. We protect the entire transaction — no negotiations, no algorithms, no one taking a cut.
For Listeners
Pick the quality you want and pay only for what you get. A 128 kbps MP3 costs pennies; a lossless studio WAV costs more because it’s a bigger file — but the rate is always the same and every penny goes to the artist. No middlemen.

Live Music
Live Events & Ticketing
Artists create their own events — gigs, listening parties, meet-ups — and sell digital tickets directly through the platform. Tickets are tied to the buyer's account and verified at the door with a live phone scan. The price you set is the price the listener pays.

No Booking Fees

The Patron Fund
Every Listener Patron subscription goes straight into the Patron Fund. That fund pays artists to perform at live events, covers venue hire, and makes sure listeners have great nights out — all at no extra cost. If there’s money left over from a gig, it goes to a local charity in the area where the event was held.
Artists can propose gigs — large or small. Once approved, the Patron Fund Manager takes care of everything end-to-end: booking the venue, booking the artists, setting up the tickets, handling every transaction, and paying all bills from the fund. No artist pays out of pocket, no listener pays at the door. The community funds the music, and the music gives back.

Broadcasting
Broadcasts & Events
Artists go live and perform directly to anyone who tunes in — intimate sessions, DJ sets, acoustic showcases, and everything in between. Every broadcast gets its own page in the events listing with the date, time, and artist details.
When it’s live, listeners tune in. When it’s not, they can see the schedule and plan to catch the next one. Real music, happening in real time.

The Platform
The Roadmap
Every great platform needs a map. Ours is drawn like a transit line — clear stations, honest progress, and a destination shaped entirely by the community. See where we've been, where we are now, and where you can take us next.
Music That Just Plays
When you press play, the music should just be there. Cloudflare's Bandwidth Alliance with Backblaze means content delivery costs us nothing — so streaming is genuinely free for every artist, and we're building a global edge network so your music plays fast wherever your listeners are.
Instant Playback
Audio served from Cloudflare’s nearest edge location, so music starts the moment you press play.
Same Experience, Anywhere
Whether you’re in London, Lagos, or Los Angeles, Cloudflare’s global edge network means the platform feels just as fast — and it will.
Works Like an App
Install Music United from your browser — fast loads, works offline, no app store needed.
Streaming is already free for every artist — Cloudflare's Bandwidth Alliance with Backblaze eliminates bandwidth charges entirely. The next step is bringing the platform closer to every listener on the planet. It's on the roadmap, and it's coming.
You Decide What Gets Built
Music United is built by a small team that listens. We move fast, stay lean, and respond to the community in real time — because the people who use this platform should be the ones shaping it.
Patron and Artist Pro members submit feature requests and vote on what gets built next through the Road Map Forum. The highest-voted ideas move into active development. You are not just using the platform — you are steering it.
Your Music, Findable Everywhere
Being on Music United means being discoverable — not just on our site, but across the internet. Every artist profile and release is readable by search engines, smart assistants, and music apps. When someone looks for your music, we make sure they find it.
Your music, delivered every way we can — open to every tool and service that helps people discover music.
See Exactly What It Costs
Every service Music United uses has a real cost and we publish the lot — provider names, monthly prices, exchange rates, and live subscriber data. The Transparency page is our open book: what we charge, what it costs us, and where every penny goes.
Transparency — Live Financial Data
Running costs, subscriber counts, revenue allocation, Patron Fund impact, and platform health — updated live.
Every Service, Protected. That’s the Commitment.
“We run at cost and take no profit. Artists keep everything. Listeners pay fair prices. DJs play without fear. Patrons fund live events that give back to the community. Every cost is accounted for, every service is protected, and every penny that can reach the artist, does. That’s the pledge.”
